Though hesitant at first, Keito decides to enter El Liston and subsequently, she begins a new stage in her life. With the help of her only remaining childhood friend, Taiyou, and her new classmates Rei, Momiji, and Kouichi, Keito slowly finds the courage to open up to others and to accept their support. Opinion: So EVERYONE has been talking about this manga. Every time I looked at the description I was like “….meeeehhh… someday…” but you guys NEED TO READ THIS NOW. Don’t wait! And I’ll tell you why. :O

So I was expecting the graphics to be a little crappy because I heard some people complaining about it at mangafox and the graphics from Boys Over Flowers weren’t so hot. But they were surprinsingly above average. Now I’m not going to lie and say they were the most magical graphics ever but I really liked them. There wasn’t a point where I was wondering if I should read it or not because of the graphics. The pictures of her as a little girl in the play looked like shit though, once you get past that you’ll see God.

The absolutely best point of this series is the characters. They are ALL creative and dynamic. You see each one go through a change, and you really, really, care about them. Even the villains. The main character goes through quite a bit of problems and ‘complaining’ stages but she grows from them.

Another really good part about this is the romance. It’s so… real. Probably the most realistic portrayal of romance I have ever read. It was just too sweet. Especially in the end.

If you still need a reason to read this I have to tell you that it is COMPLETELY ORIGINAL. I have never read anything like this. I mean there are some themes in there… but everything is just so fresh and clean. There was a perfect balance of text, graphics, story pace ect. I never wanted to stop reading. I was reading and needed to stop to eat dinner and it was always “well… after this chapter…or this chapter…or maybe…” I COULDN’T STOP! And it’s 8 volumes but feels like 16 easily. Huge chunky chapters will keep you engaged for hours.

I have nothing else to say. If you love manga you absolutely need to read this.
READ THIS! It’s a classic.

Final Rating: 5/5

Extra: From the creator of Boys Over Flowers. And there’s a Drama!
