Opinion: Okay so this whole review is going to be very opinion-y based on my preferences. More so then usual.
SO the art is tacky. It looks like the stuff everyone drew on their notebooks in high school. It is definitely I guess, production ready; but by no means completely polished. I know what look they were going for, but they jumped and missed the mark completely.
Oh God, the plot. I think the more I sit on the story the worse I make it in my head but it hasn’t been 5 minutes and wow, that was bad. The WHOLE basis of the story is just stupid. Kisses for good grades? Uh. Kay. No. I tried to enjoy it, I literally spent the whole time reading thinking: “suspension of disbelief, suspension of disbelief” but nothing made it better. I think there were many ways it could have been done better, I was actually attracted to the synopsis which outlines this “catch” but it really didn’t work. They put it in a very realistic setting and everything else make sense except this weird rape-y vibe.
WHICH MOVES ON TO THE NEXT PART. WOW. This shit escalated FAST. From chapter one all I could think about was “Wow, this is gonna get rape-y” and it did. REALLY fast too; Chapter 2 anyone? And hey, I enjoy the good ol smutty rape but usually the girl wants it but is just being tsun, this was just creepy. I feel no compassion for her teacher whatsoever. He just creeps me out.
Then she has this beautiful, fun, and nice boyfriend but you know she is going to end up with the rapist and it is just tearing my heart in two. I have my doubts and concerns with how the mangaka is going to dispose of the boyfriend.
Overall this reads like a terrible fanfiction made by a 14 year old girl. That being said, 14 year old me would have CREAMED over this. So you know what pre-teens? You go and enjoy this junk, you love it and cherish it along with your huge crush on your teacher. Just know that a varied diet leads to a long healthy life.
