Edit Oct 2018: DO NOT READ THIS. This series went to hell in the end I don’t think I’ll ever recover form the betrayal, but the anime is still pure.
So starting with the graphics. They are… different. A lot of people consider it ugly but it really isn’t. It’s just… different. Like how those ugly girls on Americas Top Model are called “Editorial”. Daikichi looks ridiculous but he is the only one. Everyone else is very cute looking; especially Rin. To be honest whenever Daikichi comes on my mind kind of blanks and it’s like he isn’t there. Like he is, but the story feels more first person so that the importance is not on Daikichi his body, but rather his mind and feelings.
The story is very sweet and captivating from the start. There is nothing truly amazing about it but I think that’s its charm. It isn’t about the drama it is about the day to day life of a single 30 year old bachelor and a little kid; which honestly, is so interesting on its own. I was going to give it a ten but it does lag a little sometimes. Some people may find it too slow.

Extra: Anime is better
