Summary: Hikaru’s biggest fear in life is to be ostracized. In order to avoid being in that kind of situation Hikaru prefers to be alone and quiet. Unfortunately, when Hikarus’ mother and step-father decide to go to France, Hikaru is left at a prestigious all girls boarding school. Hikarus’ plans to lie in the shadows are immediately smashed when she finds out her room-mate turns out to be famous idol, Izumi Kido! Opinion: Well graphics one hundred percent. This is your typical shoujo my friends. Definition of shoujo: Tenshi Ja Nai! I actually picked up volume 3 in a discount bin at a convention and managed to get number two and one through running around frantically (in socks). When I looked at the cover I was taken aback by the two girls but let me assure you my friends, this is no yuri. Bishies gather in one place and it is beautiful. The comedy is, in fact, funny. And the romance is so cute. The thing I love about this manga is that it takes a typical run of the mill idea and adds tons of flavour that makes it totally unpredictable. Hikaru totally falls head over heels for someone other then the main man…and GOES WITH IT. Like, wow, that never happens. And no I’m not being sarcastic. I’ll admit I haven’t read to the end. (I have to read it in my hands) BUT it is completely scanlated so go and enjoy!
