Opinion: Yeah I’ll just straight up say I didn’t like it. And it’s disappointing cause I really wanted to like it. Even made it to V05 trying to like it… nope.

So the art throws me off, it is Shoujo but the art style is very shounen. Clean lines, very digital art. Also? Very short chapters the story telling in it is bizarre.

So let’s cut to the chase. Why do I hate it? It’s just a really weak series that isn’t believable, it’s pretty boring. The heroine has a heart of gold and a scary past and is ~perfect~. The yandere male lead that is supposed to be scary is a pretty boy and lukewarm at best.

Some series that do this entire predictable schtick better:

  • Somethings Wrong with Us: Mystery where female lead and male lead childhood friends have complicated (murder) past and they kind of hate each other (love)
  • Yakuza Fiance: Not a Shoujo or Josei but I love it and Yandere ML that is GENUINELY TERRIFYING. Mystery interesting and unpredictable. Couldn’t look away.
  • Watashi no Megane-kun: Very messed up and addictive relationship. Great psychological series.

Basically at the end of the day I don’t care about the characters and the plot points are cliche and boring. This series has been done before in better ways.
