Name: How do you do Koharu? (Gokigenyou, Koharu-san)
Mangaka: Hazuki Kanae
Volumes: 2 (Ongoing)
Licensed: Kodansha (2 Volumes: Digital)
Genre: Slice of Life
Age Group: Teen
19-year-old Koharu would rather be livestreaming than working her job at a maid cafe or trying to find a boyfriend out in the wide world. On her stream she chats with friends and fans around the world, and enjoys the freedom the screen grants her. But when one of her followers appears in real life, she senses there might be more to their connection…and maybe she wants something more than a digital-only connection, after all…

Opinion: This series seems very straight forward Slice of Life which the mangaka has done well in the past.
The art is wonderful, I’ve always loved the art from Say I Love You, but you can tell it’s matured as this is her most recent series. She has a very unique and detailed style that really draws you in to the story.
I have to say the setup of a streamer heroine is new and very interesting. It’s kinda framed as something any teen these days would do but the heroine loves it and takes it very seriously. You would think she would be narcissistic but the heroine seems very genuine, she just enjoys her hobby.
By the end of the first volume we are just introduced to the male lead. A relationship for a pseudo celebrity has lots of hurdles. We can already see she prioritizes streaming above all else, so where will a romantic partner fit in? Also the male lead fell in love with her as a streamer.
Still lots to discover but I can’t wait to read more.
Final Rating: 4/5
Extra: From the mangaka of the super popular series “Say I Love You“
