Opinion:
I definitely wanted this to be good I even bought this series when visiting Japan cause it looked great. Unfortunately the female lead is boring.
So the art is phenomenal. The mangaka has such an obvious and distinct style I recognized it right away as the artist for “Hana no Kishi” a personal favourite. Detailed and josei-esque but slanted? Oval?
The plot is what bores me. The characters themselves are basic archetypes and the plot is done before but it still has a unique charm. I’d enjoy it much more if the heroine weren’t so boring. I get it’s her whole “thing” but she’s absolutely an ice queen.
I’ve heard it does get better and more interesting down the line and I’m only two volumes in. It’s a great workplace Josei regardless if that’s what you fancy.
