Graphics Rating: 3/5
Plot Rating: 3/5

Opinion: Honestly this series was a bit of a rough go but I quite enjoyed it most of the time. Luckily it is short! To start the art isn’t great, it isn’t bad but it seems to be run of the mill shoujo graphics.

As for the plot, I wanted this to be good so bad! The plot was always just ALMOST there, but never really reached the peak. All of the interesting plot points were rushed through way too quickly. Which on the other hand made the series kind of tolerable because if you stop and think about the series too much, a lot of it didn’t make sense.

The main characters are pretty cookie cutter. The girl is a dope beyond belief and it is really hard to believe she has been locked away for 15 years? She some how musters the courage in the end every time. Then the bad boy was mean to her but it was all so half hearted.

While the review does seem harsh I actually had fun reading this series. It won’t win any awards but it wasn’t the worse thing I have read over 4 volumes.

I think this series would be a perfect starter series for any pre-teen or young teen who is looking into reading manga.

Final Rating: 3/5

Extra: If you like the premise of the series but hoping for something better I highly recommend Shinobi Life
